2019 is set to be a huge year for movies and could see a lot of talented young actors make themselves your new favourite stars.
We've scoured the releases for 2019 and picked out nine stars who you really should be excited for next year. Some have been on our screens in various ways before, but all will be part of some of the biggest movies at the cinema next year.
1. Cynthia Erivo
It's been a breakout year in movies for Cynthia Erivo, stealing the show in the star-studded Bad Times at the El Royale and Widows, and now next year looks to be even bigger.
She'll first be seen as Hildy in Chaos Walking, alongside Daisy Ridley and Tom Holland, before playing the iconic role of Harriet Tubman in the biopic about the famous American abolitionist. It's a role that led to some early controversy, but we're certain Erivo will prove the doubters wrong.
If that wasn't enough, Erivo will also star in John Ridley's sci-fi Needle in a Timestack with Orlando Bloom and Leslie Odom Jr.
2. Finn Wolfhard
Yes, we know Finn Wolfhard has been involved with Stranger Things since 2016 and had a key role in 2017's hit horror adaptation IT: Chapter One.
However, alongside returning as Mike in Stranger Things season three and Richie in IT: Chapter Two, Wolfhard will be making big moves outside of the two franchises. He'll voice Pugsley in The Addams Family, star as Young Boris in The Goldfinch and in supernatural horror The Turning.
It really feels like 2019 will be the year where Wolfhard will establish himself as a movie star to be reckoned with.
3. Ella Hunt
After a supporting role in Cold Feet series seven, Ella Hunt really made her mark on the big screen in brilliant zombie musical Christmas horror Anna and the Apocalypse.
The role saw Hunt nominated for Best Actress at the British Academy Scotland Awards, while the movie has made its mark at the box office, with a $52,588 debut in the US from only five sites following a strong festival run.
Hunt has already got roles coming up in music-themed comedy Kat and the Band and coming-of-age dramedy Summer Night, so discover what all the fuss is about by tracking down Anna and the Apocalypse for a festive treat.
4. Noah Centineo
Noah Centineo is almost single-handedly responsible for Yakult selling out in some stores after he drank some in Netflix smash To All the Boys I've Loved Before.
He followed that up with another winning turn in Sierra Burgess Is A Loser (even avoiding the controversy around it), so he seems prime to be one of the hottest new talents around. He's certainly busy enough in 2019 already.
As well as a lead role in The Stand-In, he'll star in the reboot of Charlie's Angels in a key role that may or may not be another Bosley. Blockbuster stardom awaits.
5. Letitia Wright
In the role of Shuri, Letitia Wright became an instant Marvel fan favourite in Black Panther and followed it up with a strong cameo in Avengers: Infinity War.
So, we hear you, she's not one to watch, Wright is already a star. However, we've included her here as we have a feeling that she'll play even more of a central role in Avengers 4. After all, she's one of the few remaining and Shuri's smarter than most, so she must be key to bringing everyone back?
What's more, Wright will also appear in the mysterious Donald Glover and Rihanna movie Guava Island, bringing her a whole new army of fans to go with the Marvel lot.
6. Henry Golding
Model and TV presenter Henry Golding sure knew how to pick his movie debut, making his mark in one of 2018's biggest hits, Crazy Rich Asians.
Golding followed up his role as Nick Young in the rom-com by playing Blake Lively's husband in Paul Feig's delicious thriller A Simple Favour, but it turns out that Golding was just getting warmed up.
2019 will see him reunite with Feig for Last Christmas alongside Emilia Clarke and appear in Guy Ritchie's Toff Guys, alongside Matthew McConaughey and Hugh Grant, as well as in potential awards contender Monsoon.
7. Millie Bobby Brown
Like her Stranger Things co-star Finn Wolfhard, we do know that Millie Bobby Brown has already made her mark in TV with her role as Eleven.
However, unlike Wolfhard, Brown has yet to appear on the big screen, so that's why we're including her here as she will make her movie debut in Godzilla: King of the Monsters. She plays the central role of Madison Russell, who has a mysterious link to Mothra (as you do).
Brown has impressed producers enough for her to already be filming on the follow-up Godzilla Vs Kong, so we're expecting her to replicate her small-screen success.
8. Joe Alwyn
Joe Alwyn, AKA Taylor Swift's boyfriend, appeared set to have a star-making turn with Ang Lee's ambitious Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk last year.
That didn't quite happen, but a key trio of upcoming roles will see Alwyn cement his status as a breakthrough talent, appearing in three awards contenders: The Favourite, Boy Erased and Mary Queen of Scots.
If that's not enough, he's also got a role alongside Cynthia Erivo in the Harriet Tubman biopic, so Alwyn's career is going from strength to strength.
9. Lana Condor
Alongside Noah Centineo, Lana Condor was the breakout star of Netflix's To All the Boys I've Loved Before and she's also not waiting around for the sequel.
As that eagerly awaited sequel is developed, Condor will be seen alongside Ella Hunt in Summer Night and also has roles in Robert Rodriguez's Alita: Battle Angel and intriguing sci-fi thriller Warning.
Who knows, maybe Condor will top it off by having a surprise cameo role in X-Men: Dark Phoenix, reprising her Apocalypse role of Jubilee.
