What is it about ductum?

Easy transparency is what’s most important for the ductum community. We don’t tell you which party to pick, but we’ll tell you about their candidates’ sins, and if they are people that you can trust. We see ourselves as a multilingual and open community, and would like to invite anyone to join us, whose goal is to create a better world.

We started out in late 2014 because of the most obvious reasons – we were fed up with a politician, Victor Ponta (from Romania) to be precise. During the electioneering, he was all nice and smart and loveable, but he had a past that clearly said he was anything but that. It wasn’t like no one knew it, but we think that even in today’s world, it’s hard to see someone’s wrongdoings in its full scope. The amount of bs this person has done during his career is terrific, so we just couldn’t see him have so much positive media coverage.

We started the website to show people what politicians really are, fact based. We knew that we wouldn’t change anyone’s mind if we simply started saying “Ponta is a bad person and we know it”, we had to prove. This is why Ductum was founded. We collected as much information as available on the net, rated it based on our nonpartisan metrics, and made this information available in a straight forward manner. People loved it, and joined us in our effort to make this platform popular.

Because of the widespread approval, we quickly started to think about how to make the platform more popular outside of Romania. We’re doing this by collaborating with different people from different countries, who specialize in search engine optimization.

We do not judge people on any ethnic, race, gender, sexual orientation or religious belief. Instead, we’re dedicated to putting transparency at our center. If you would like to help spread the word with your own means, please don’t hesitate to contact us!
